The PAOCFC Committee and Coach Peter Walsh have been in discussions over the last week about the best method for the A Grade group to continue its development and progress forward. After a successful 3 years of Peter as Coach we have agreed it is in their best interest to have a new voice at the helm with some fresh ideas to continue to challenge the A Grade side and help them progress to Division 1.
Peter has done a magnificent job over the last 3 years since taking over, leading the group to 4th and 3rd in the last 2 seasons after just missing finals in the first season.
Both Peter and the Committee agree that at this point in time the group would greatly benefit from fresh ideas and a new voice. It has been an extremely difficult decision to make given the success over the 3 year period. Credit must go to Peter for putting the interests of the A Grade first in this decision making process.
Peter will remain actively involved in the Football Review over the coming weeks and will still very much be keeping a keen eye on the progress of the group over the coming years.
On behalf of the Committee, A Grade and the entire Club I would like to thank Peter for the time and effort he has invested in the Club. Over the last three years we have become a strong Division 2 Club and Peter can definitely depart the role knowing he has left the Club in a much stronger position that when he took over which highlights the outstanding job he has done.
The Club will now advertise for the position and commence a wide search for the best possible person to continue the outstanding progress we have made in recent seasons.
